There is sexual attraction, and then there is caring. Lust vs. Love.

They often go together, but they are different things.

And then we have multiple and conflicting modern definitions of "pedophile" - but one thing of note is that many people now think that an interest in sex with young women under the age of 18 is pedophilia ... but look at the history of the world, where outside parts of western Europe and its colonies young women were most commonly married by age 14 until just a century ago. If sexual attraction to 14 year olds is pedophilia, then virtually all humans are pedophiles.

So it's not difficult to get powerful men to have sex with 14 year olds to blackmail them and control them. The difficult part is creating a public atmosphere in which powerful men can be blackmailed merely with evidence that they screwed a 14 year old.

But that has been accomplished. If we want to call these people "bad pedos" I suppose we can, but I personally don't feel any commonality with them. They aren't especially attracted to prepubescent girls, and they don't appear to care about children's well-being at all.
