“Let's say there are girls next door being abused; it's not always possible to give them any help that's going to actually put them in a better position. If they go to foster care, they might get abused even worse there.”

Let them know you will give them a safe place to go. If they come to you and the abuser tries to get them back, protect them in your home. Compassion can always find a way. I’ll lose in Haiti a hundred times to win just once somewhere else.
