I think she was 16 when it was filmed? But yeah if someone tried making a Lolita film with a 12 yo it'd be buried and almost no one would know of it.

The new one has some cute scenes, like when the girl in the bunny costume hands him the letters, and the make-out scene at camp. And, you gotta love Jeremy Irons.
