Colbert and Kimmel are following the dictate, but JF's doing his own thing. I don't pay much attention to his guests (I think he had Kevin Bacon on, but that's somebody interesting.)

He's just letting his cute daughters rule during this time, and I think it's something way more special than is being noticed.

(Also, younger daughter's hound-dog eyes and weird personalty are clearly his DNA, but I'm not so sure about my older daughter.) Wait, I mean HIS!
