Vellus hair is short, thin, slight-colored, and barely noticeable hair that develops on most of a person's body during childhood. It's easily observed on children and adult women. It's not lanugo hair, a much thicker type of hair that normally grows only on fetuses. It is sometimes called peach fuzz, due to its resemblance to the downy skin on the peaches.

Knowledge, no matter from whence you obtain it, is always a powerful thing to have. You caught it with a "V" and I went and found it for you! We both learn something!
