Recruit more members?

The board looks pretty slow lately... I can't remember how I found it back in the day. I was thinking to maybe cruise around some other parts of the web and see if there are folks that might be able to contribute to meaningful discussions and conversations here, and maybe get some reassurance that they're okay, like I once did.

Any advice on how to go about this effectively? I also wouldn't want to attract unwanted attention or trolls, etc.
