Weaponized? Not hardly. The global death rate of this corona virus (Covid-19) is about 3.4%. If someone wanted this as a weapon, it sure would be a failure as one. There are much better bio-weapons and, even then, they're not used for good reason.

Ebola has a 90% death rate. MERS (untreated) 45%, Cancer (treated) 30%, Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF)(untreated) 26%, Typhoid (untreated) 20%, Botulism (treated) 10%, Malaria 0.3%, Influenza A, (typical pandemics) < 0.1%.
