At some point the general age of 13 as a rule to register became 18... not for any fear for girls or legal worries, but because antis were using the rule to try and bait horny morons into outing themselves or worse. I was originally extremely hostile to the idea, because it meant the censorship of girls' opinions at one of the few remaining places that allowed for positive words about girl lovers.

I eventually came around to see how it was indeed the correct choice. We were plagued by these scheming fakes throwing girl candy at people more lonely and gullible than careful.

I'll never forget the idyots who agreed (many years ago) to a group phone call with someone who claimed to have been in a romantic relationship with her dad, a story so full of holes you could have placed it on a ham sandwich. No wonder some of them went down, and no wonder GC had to implement another save-people-from-themselves rule:p
