... the "core" of the 'anti' ideology, and of the age of consent laws themselves, is a strong anti-male bias. As I have said to Ethan in my various debates with him over the years, his general attitude is a strong, SJW-like distrust and dislike of males in general and male sexuality in particular, with the belief that the laws should be openly and heavily biased against males. You see the same thing in his closest ideological ilk among the "virtuous" MAPs, such as my old friend Todd. The obvious problem of how such draconian measures would bring out the worst in many women and younger people alike is not a concern to the ideology promoted by this sect of the "Left", because a propensity towards misandry is one of their main policy motivators, and those of his ideological ilk will always dislike the best of men more than they will the worst of women (and girls), the latter of which they will continue to revere as saints. To them, if you're male, your plumbing marks you as a walking, breathing scarlet letter, a demon personified in corporeal form who must forever be held in check lest they damage the saints of the species. In their eyes, women and (by proxy) girls/children are the virtuous, and men are... well, you know where this is going.

They also, you will notice, mix their coddling of anything female with a form of condescension towards the full capabilities of that gender--and particularly those who are younger--that is necessary to justify this form of entitlement bestowed on them, along with the argument that a system that has an open bias against men is necessary to prevent men from harming others with their inherently "toxic" sexuality and behavior. Similar behavior from women cannot be held accountable, since it can be blamed on men for "making" them this way. This is similar to how these same members of the Left will rationalize Republican-like behavior and policies from their beloved Democratic candidates (the Democrat in question didn't want to do those awful things; they had to do them because of pressure from those awful, truly evil Republicans in Congress).
