I don't think it's about opposing equality...

...I think it's about opposing a fight for entitlement and revenge disguised as a "radical" struggle for "equality." A lot of men who fully support the equality and empowerment of women (and non-whites, LGBT, etc.), and even go to bat for them as part of an ongoing movement, still feel vilified because of attacks that center on not inequality per se, but rather on maleness in general. Or whitness in general, or what have you.

This type of revenge-motivated prejudice simply inflames the problem rather than acting as a solution, forcing even many men on the Left who want to see equality happen on the defensive, and likewise forces many women of outstanding principle to turn on the very movement that claims to be fighting for their rights. Thanks to the SJWs and their prevailing mindset, men and non-whites fully understand what it's like to be hated simply for who they are and what they are, rather than their actions or values. The problem? That hatred is extended to all men and all non-whites.

When you have women now openly admitting they are misandrist and proud, then you know they have given up the battle for equality and are now simply out for blood, with their motivation being hatred rather than a desire for justice.
