An additional benefit to straights from the Gay Liberation movement is not being saddled with a spouse who thinks you're second-rate but feels shamed into not dating other women. Hetero relationships are strengthened, not weakened, by removing folks from the dating pool who would rather not be there.

The same, I'm sure would also be the case with exclusive Peds.
