Many adults ignore that part of their childhood or brush it off as not sexual. However with more openness about it adults will be more willing to see it as what it was, horniess and sexual exploration, enjoyment and consent. So that is a good point your bring up. When I discuss my childhood experiences, most people, instead of arguing, bring up their own. I've had people admit to masturbation to interactions with adults and none, as of yet in this context, says they felt it was harmful or they were hurt.
