I see where you're coming from. Although I'd like to mention that I think the majority of MAPs out there are naturally law abiding (even if many think laws should be changed) and I feel, based on my small bit of research on this, that a great deal a therapists out there would not report anything based on thoughts or feelings.

There still might be some unfortunately who would, but that's part of what we'd like to see change.

So if there was a hypothetical MAP that was seeking therapeutic services, they could have various issues in their lives to talk about that aren't related to any kind of sexual actions.
