Westermarck ain't got shit on me! (a play on the Denzel line from Training Day). Thankfully, I was not struck by this horrible condition. I was very attracted to my daughters (and everybody here knows about my attraction to my granddaughters). Hell, they were mini versions of their mother but more perfectly represented in childness.

I must disagree with others here. Pedophilia and incest are not so easily dismissed as separate and different. I do agree about the associated 'availability' and power/emotional problems. Yeah, they are right there in your home, running around in their panties or less so availability is real. And the power/emotional (not to mention the law and it's consequences) are major reasons nothing ever materialized from my desires.

Since first reading of the mother soothing her son by stroking him in The Haj, I have thought that that was a legit way to calm a youngster but had nothing much to do with incest, sex, or pedophilia. What does, however, is the intimacy that naturally occurs between father and daughter cuddling and 'play romance'. I do not understand the great taboo if one or the other in this situation touches the forbidden areas, romantically and sexually, as a lover would want to make their partner feel good. My girls knew from the first time this natural impulse showed up that it was not permitted and that 'rejection' hurt us both. I really believe that.

However, I don't believe at all that this type of petting would lead to 'pairing' in any way. I never desired intercourse with my daughters. The power problem steps in here. In that respect it is different than my pedophilic attraction to (hypothetical) lil Suzi next door. But it is still pedophilia. a non pedo dad would probably not feel hurt at all by the 'rejection' and might even think 'badly' of his daughter for even suggesting it.
