Our current world of sex abuse hysteria has created a generation of depression and anxiety ridden young people. Much research shows the importance of receiving and giving loving and sensual physical contact as a child. Currently if you are too close with a child, and are not the child's mother, then you are, as you said, labelled a creep and at worse an abuser.

Many songs and stories of earlier times are looked at as vile, creepy, and abusive these days.

I think things are changing. At least I feel I am proof of that.
