It feels like you were requesting a magic word or pass phrase.

The last citation I gave is the offending remark. The previous citation is your post that it was a direct reply to. The first one is my post that you were replying to.

It seems a no-brainer if you see an objectionable remark in a thread to look first at the post it is a reply to. Replying to a post is effectively a form of citing it.

My understanding is that the search function is quite limited. You can't even (afaik) look at a page of the index and search within all the posts that appear on that page, right? With that, we could trace how my quote you don't like worked its way from its original to location to other posts.
