Unfortunately there are different societies with their own contracts.

The self-loathing have vast audiences. Think of all the "gay conversion" success stories that make the rounds talking to Churches that want the queers to magic themselves away.

( And never mind what the APA says, or even the same people when they explain that they were victimized by reparative "therapy." )

Being applauded by a ( seemingly ) more populous audience can be quite seductive.

....... And think of all the press-clippings you get to scrapbook. ;p
