I believe what you are talking about is entirely hypothetical -- it's never happened. It's your guess that all those restrictions were removed, kids would all just love sex with anyone they are fond of? I know people cite past societies where things were much more permissive, but what you are imagining really strains credulity. Last I knew, Dante himself :-) was not sure just how many little girls would be clamoring for adult sex playmates.

Heck, I'm not sure I see any room for an increased interest in sex at puberty in your thinking -- if we get rid of all those awful inhibitions, we'll find those little girls are as hungry for it as they can get before they're out of their diapers.

Yes, most children want affection and physical touch. As a father of three daughters I was thoroughly aware of that. Some even like to masturbate or play doctor with peers. Genuine enthusiastm for playing doctor with grown-ups? Very rare, I say, and not because of shaming.
