I tend to agree.

I suspect that groups like "Exodus" played an important role in the cultural acceptance of gays. They gave skeptics contact with gay men they could get to know and support - and ultimately even their failures were educational.

So while I can't really agree with VirPed about much, and I consider other organizations to be doing much better and more vital work, I am glad to have them in this cultural conversation.
