In sexual any relationship with an adult, a child is extremely vulnerable to coercion and/or manipulation: generally understood to be true.

AoC laws should not be abolished completely. They should be lowered in some areas where they are unreasonably high. If I had to pick a number, I believe 12 is appropriate. (Yes, this is an arbitrary number. Law uses arbitrary numbers all the time; it's generally not a problem.)

Why have an AoC at all? Please explain why you think we need to pick an arbitrary number? Oh and yes it is generally a problem when arbitrary numbers are picked. Mainly because, in the case of sexual interaction, loving adults are jailed for consensual interactions and the child removed from them and forced into therapy where the therapist's job is to force the child to see the relationship as harmful and bad.
