Then you haven't really faced issues like I have. Not trying to get the upper hand here by an experience card. But it seems to me that Dissident doesn't really know first hand when you just have to break either parents' rules or child's trust. It happens. If you're good enough, it happens. And you too haven't faced that yet - but part of it is answered by what you just said: she is 10, so, barring some abuse (not necessarily parental, but often so) she's more likely to not yet have parent issues than the several girls in my life who are older than that.

So far, as I said, I have chosen to keep child's trust rather than parent's rules. But I can picture myself doing the opposite too. And when I have broken parent's rules, it's also in the knowledge that Mom trusts my judgment and sees me as an ultimately good influence in spite of my sometimes too obvious anarchist tendencies.
