The important point is that one culture being replaced by a new introduced one is not usually bought about by "better" thinking.

Who said the aim is to replace their old ways with new ones? I think the point is to eradicate all the traditional nonsense--that's it. If they want to "replace" it with something else, then I don't think anybody has a problem with that.
