"Do yo believe everything you read? Especially when the source comes from Western media? I certainly DO NOT trust it."

No, but I don't necessarily disbelieve it, either.

"The situation bewteen the U.S invading the Mid-East is comparable to China invading the U.S in the sense that BOTH situations would cause lots of bloodshed and havoc. So in this regard there is no significant difference in outcome."

How do you know what would happen in a situation that hasn't occured? I'm sure you know what Mutually Assured Destruction is, no two nuclear armed countries would dare to invade each others' land.

And like I said, whether or not I am angered by their hypothetical invasion largely depends on what their motives are--if I felt like my country was suppressing my freedoms, and China wanted to free us from that suppression, then I would gladly welcome them with open arms.

"If this is true then these people are fools, just wanting themselves to be thrown from their (claimed/percieved) frying pan and into the FIRE. If they think they can get liberation by living under U.S domination/laws, then they have another thing comin'!"

The laws in the most Mid-East countries are oppressive, and again, it's a theocracy, which IMO, is a retarded form of government--yes, representative democracy isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than what they have now.

Like I said, many Mid-Easterners are sick of being forced to follow traditions that they themselves didn't create and/or agree with--I personally would rather die then be subjected to that bullshit.

"Yes but this is precisely the kind of thing that the Muslim freedom fighters are fighting the collaborators FOR. They KNOW that the introduction of the "American way" will actually THREATEN their OWN "archaic" lifestyles and their religious practices."

While I do believe in sovereignty, I am aware of the many violent passages in the Koran, and it appears to me that Islam is an inherently violent religion. I personally do not like religion AT ALL, and would rather it not exist.

To me, fundamentalist Islam is just a violent movement--if you want me to quote violent passages from the Koran, I'll be more than happy to do so.

Also, many fundamentalist Islam groups want to do the same thing to the West that the West wants to do to them--complete eradication--so it makes sense to put an end to this before it gets out of hand. The fact that many Muslims are waking up in the sense that they no longer see the relevance of Muslim tradition in their lives proves that the change is welcome. Extreme conservatism is disgusting, as it goes against the natural tendencies of evolution--all things grow and evolve. I don't think it's fair that people are born into a system that they have no say in whatsover; one of the biggest evils, IMO, is childhood indoctrination.

"They KNOW that introducing American laws will only OPPRESS many aspects of their lives that they were hitherto allowed to practice without persecution and prosecution. And seeing we are here on GC, I can mention no more apt starting point than AOC laws, as just one of many examples. They know the US style laws threaten things like polygamy... and the list goes on and on."

They vote for their own representatives, who make their own laws--it's not like we're handing down laws for them which they must follow.

"NO, it's because they know that the American collaborators also want to impose their values on those who want to live the old ways! The Muslim freedom fighters fear being oppressed by what culture the collaborators wish to import from the U.S and U.K. And the pro-American collaborators are known to be pushing for these American style laws to be enforced pan-nationally for all to suffer under, they are not just wanting to have it restricted to themselves! I know this because this has been personally expressed to me by some of my own Muslim friends."

They don't have to adopt any culture that they don't want to. They must, however, refrain from violence--if they weren't fighting, there would be no reason for us to fight back. The fact is that they are a threat to Western civilization, they preach about its destruction, and Western civilization is putting their efforts to a halt before they become a much bigger problem.

And many residents of Mid-East countries are welcoming the change. I would.
