Do yo believe everything you read? Especially when the source comes from Western media? I certainly DO NOT trust it.

Then perhaps I just aren't as smart as what my friend Stahn kindly claimed. I simply see no real difference. They are just a bunch of different powers with various different cultures and religions etc, and as the saying goes "Might makes right". Probably the only difference I can see is that the U.S has much more military power over Afghanistan and Iraq combined. But it's more evenly weighed between the U.S and China...actually I think China is becoming more powerful against the U.S and will one day be more powerful than the U.S (if it hasn't already). The situation bewteen the U.S invading the Mid-East is comparable to China invading the U.S in the sense that BOTH situations would cause lots of bloodshed and havoc. So in this regard there is no significant difference in outcome.

If this is true then these people are fools, just wanting themselves to be thrown from their (claimed/percieved) frying pan and into the FIRE. If they think they can get liberation by living under U.S domination/laws, then they have another thing comin'!

Yes but this is precisely the kind of thing that the Muslim freedom fighters are fighting the collaborators FOR. They KNOW that the introduction of the "American way" will actually THREATEN their OWN "archaic" lifestyles and their religious practices. They KNOW that introducing American laws will only OPPRESS many aspects of their lives that they were hitherto allowed to practice without persecution and prosecution. And seeing we are here on GC, I can mention no more apt starting point than AOC laws, as just one of many examples. They know the US style laws threaten things like polygamy... and the list goes on and on. They are aware what goes on in places like Utah where the Christians are persecuted by state law for having young wives and practicing polygamy. These Muslim fundamentalists are not fighting collaborators because the collaborators wish to personally adopt American lifestyle. NO, it's because they know that the American collaborators also want to impose their values on those who want to live the old ways! The Muslim freedom fighters fear being oppressed by what culture the collaborators wish to import from the U.S and U.K. And the pro-American collaborators are known to be pushing for these American style laws to be enforced pan-nationally for all to suffer under, they are not just wanting to have it restricted to themselves! I know this because this has been personally expressed to me by some of my own Muslim friends.

Anyway it's late now and I need to get to bed before I fall asleep. See ya later...
