Citizens vote for representatives who they think will uphold or draft laws which they agree with, so the only difference between that and what jurors are allowed to do is that what jurors do is a more direct version of influencing which laws exist or are upheld.

I'm sorry, but what that person said is extremely retarded--basically, they're saying that citizens should have no role in what laws are made in this country.
