Yes, Sancho - I totally support Constance's right to attend what is, after all, every bit as much HER school prom as much as it is anyone else's, with the prom partner of her choice.

The fact that this is in any way a problem for anyone, shows a remarkable amont of narrow-mindedness, ignorance and a quite poor grasp upon the real world on the part of the district authorities.

All the kids involved should take up the very kind offer that has been given to them of an 'alternative' prom, and boycott the school's prom - for many years to come, as well.

That would show that the kids can do it all for themselves (which in my view, they can), and prove that they just don't need meddling adults with their own agenda to fulfill.

In any case, I'd bet that a prom hosted by an external party would probably be far more fun for the kids than anything offered by the school, with all their stuffy rules!
