You are attracted to a young woman. Which is completely normal. As Goethe said calling anyone who has sex with someone underage a pedophile is nothing but "legal semantics." You are not a pedophile. But unfortunately if you get arrested for having sex with someone underage you will be branded a pedophile, unfairly yes, but you will be considered a pedophile in the eyes of the law.

You say she's almost 17, in a year from now she will be almost 18. After she turns 18 you won't have to worry about anything from the law or what anyone says. It might seem like a long time from now, but it will come to pass quicker then you think.

If you are smart about this and patient you could have a lifetime of happiness with someone. Thank your lucky stars you have this opportunity.
