Step back a moment:
Put an ice-cold, smooth and creamy spoonful of your favorite ice cream into your mouth. Swirl it around, tasting the wonderfully cold sweetness. Feel it melt into readiness.... then sw..... no! Don't. Don't swallow it. Spit it out.
Many dieter's try things like this. Sometimes it works. You want to risk the chance it doesn't?

I suppose I was burdened with OCD when it came to me and my little lover. I knew I had to stop. I tried. I got to the point that, one day, I got into my car, sped along the highway pushing over 100 mph, and drove straight towards a bridge abutment. Then swerved, too chicken.
The day came when I knew things were "up". I could have escaped the situation but I chose not to. I knew I could not stop so I let them stop me. I am still glad I let them. It was the right thing to do. I was compelled and wanted it to stop.
