There was once a company called Landslide Inc. They were a gateway to cp sites. You gave them your credit card # and provided you access to the sites you purchased. They made around 10 million dollars between 1996-99. About 85% was from cp sales. Thomas Reedy paid a high price for providing this service. He was sentenced to over 1300 years in prison. Which was reduced to "only" 180 on appeal.

Then there was the nude erotica sites which had content which was considered cp. These pictures were new. Not the 40 year old material which was mentioned in the article. This was a thriving industry at one point till it got pretty much shut down. This is what I got busted for =/.

It's true nowadays that most of cp is being traded amongst people through peer to peer file sharing or e-mail trading. There's not many pay sites out there, but since I don't go looking for it I don't know how many there in today's internet.

Now we shall see if the preteen model sites with clothed girls someday become the next cp raids of the future. This is a money making industry at the moment. Similar to the nude sites of a few year back.
