Interesting.

I'm kind of wondering if she just chose to display an anti-contact point of view in her conclusion, in order to not anger more people about the research.

That would be kind of dishonest on her part, but it would be kind of interesting if that were the case.

I sometimes think many people feel pro-contact, but don't want to risk admiting it in these hostile times.

Thanks for the review, I feel more optimistic about the book now.
