You may be right, but...

I find it remarkable how people can know the entire content of a book from reading the blurb and ToC.

The book may not be what we'd hope for, but if it helps ameliorate the situation for pedophiles at all, I'll be glad for it. Distinguising between pedophiles and child molesters is a good start--most people don't even go that far. I'd also be interested in her proposals about "what to do with" pedophiles. It could be pretty horrible, like throwing us all in jail for life, but on the other hand, she might have positive suggestions, like making it easier for us to integrate into society. For example, I'm a registered SO. Because of that it's very hard for me to get decent work. If people made it easier for us to get decent work, I'd be extremely grateful, and I think it would help reintegrate SOs, keep our lives more stable, and result in less danger of reoffense. The author may not "get it" about everything, but if she understands that and works for change, it would be a good thing.
