I seriously thought about it, but I can't. I wouldn't feel right attending such a workshop without telling all the people in my life. By informing them, I'd be asking them to support me in something they don't understand.

It's one thing if people understand I "prefer the company of a little girl". It's another thing entirely to declare I "am a pedophile" and expect parents to put their children at risk to support me. They would not, and I would not allow them to even if they were willing.

Don't let Gatekeeper's comments bother you. His argument seems to be that psychiatrists don't know anything, but the workshops are designed to gain knowledge because psychologists know they don't know anything, so the argument is self defeating. I don't know if my assurance carries much weight these days, but I know you are 100% legitimate because of things that happened a couple years ago.
