I would agree with this, but I would add...

...that another reason everyone is so against Child Love is a result of the sheer emotional response people have when they think of youths under 18 being sexual with adults. They think it's disgusting in the same way some people think homosexual sexual activity or interracial sexual activity is disgusting; in other words, it offends their emotional sensibilities to the extent that they think it should be illegal. People rationalize this as claiming that there is all sorts of evidence that sexual activity between adults and young people is harmful to the latter and the only reason the former would want such contact is if they were cruel and viciously selfish people.

I think the above, along with the reason that you pointed out, goes a long way to explaining why our society is so dead-set against intergenerational love and sexual activity.
