I've done my homework. Part of sentencing often includes psychiatric counseling. Presumably counseling is acquired through the aid of people in the law enforcement system. I am talking about psychiatrists or psychologists who work with prisoners. Furthermore, MDs hold a special recognition in the government, which gives psychiatrists a power and a recognizable role to be taken into consideration.

Please don't reply with 'lol'. You will find that there are professionals of language who create dictionaries. They don't rely on dictionaries to make dictionaries. Your derisiveness is silly. You know very well that word use and subjects are complex and can't be summarized so easily as by a short paragraph.

You are being weasely by arguing a straw man. You say 'it has many uses' as if I argued it does not. I already mentioned it had many uses. My argument is that since it has a specific meaning, it has gained an 'impact' as a word, and words with strong defined meanings by the government (via medicine and law enforcement authorities) need to be weighed and not flung around as easily as casual slang is.

I don't know of any codes that use the word, I presumed you understood I consider it a law enforcement subject because the judicial system works in tandem with mental health professionals who DO use the word in the reports they submit to them.

Using 'child' casually is okay, because no definitions have any negative inferences. Many definitions (all to some) DO and thus, people who casually use a less extreme meaning can be labeling that person (maybe themself) as evil to others who are more familiar with the extreme meanings. Your comparison is not appropriate at all.

You may have a point with people identifying the made-up terms like Girllover and Pedosexual with Pedophile. Odd words like that I don't like for that reason, anyone can paint them like that.

I disagree with MAA though. That is different, it is very clear. A MAA is someone over the age of majority (18 usually) who has been attracted to someone under it. An 18yo with a 17yo girlfriend, in the most conservative definition, is a MAA, even if he's considering leaving her for his ex-girlfriend who is 32.

If people paint 'MAA' as pedophile, they're idiots, and not all the terrorists are idiots. Furthermore, if they are attempting to smear the individual, MAA, unlike 'girllover' and 'pedosexual' looks technical and not a weasel term at all. Of course, I know many terrorists do see it as a weasel term, and that is unfortunate and I hope they don't confuse weasels with people who legitimately mean it to be what it is.

I do not seek to limit ideas and vocabulary. This is a horrible thing you have accused me of. I have never sought to censor an idea, nor remove the use of a word.

My goal is exactly what you said I am diminishing, which I am not: talking meaningfully.

Using words with multiple meanings without context or adjectives or explantions to specify their meaning diminishes meaningful talk. This is very straightforward. You really should apologize for that horrible accusation.
