Yes, I do agree with this bit, Diss. For me personally it is a thing to really try and avoid as much as possible and as a last resort. There are often so many better ways, but sometimes there just isn't much choice left for a parent who is frustrated to the teeth with a totally out of control child on their hands. And just because I am saying that in some cases this is needed with some children doesn't automatically mean to say that I'm routinely suggesting total thrashings. More than often a few moderate slaps should suffice. A bit of physical punishment here or there is a perfectly natural thing and can be seen right throughout the whole animal kingdom.
