It's not just about pride, it's about the plain fact that it's simply none of their business how I raise my own offspring. If other parents want to just sit back and respond by saying "yeah ok, whatever you say, Master", then that's up to them, but it isn't the way I work. I regard such interloping as confrontational and antagonistic and therefore a declaration of war. Such an actual scenario is probably never going to happen though, mainly because my offspring are too well behaved to need lots of "spanking" in public places.
