Between 1880 and 1885 the UK pioneered comprehensive laws to enforce mandatory school attendance, raise the AoC and while they were at it to criminalize most other forms of love and sexual expression than those with procreation as the goal. The very same state which smashed in the teeth of Suffragettes on hunger strikes was marginalizing kids and their adult friends.

Nope, the bizarre marriage between the Lesbian Separatists and the "Lets keep 'em barefoot and pregnant" God Botherers didn't occur until the Gentlemen's Club had been at the game they invented for decades.

Truth be told, many feminists don't buy it. Empowerment and victimhood are ultimately incompatible. And most of the feminists I know don't see how selling out their younger sisters until they reach the age of majority makes them stronger women afterwards.

While the Lesbian Separatists hold onto what power they can in Academia, I can't say as I've noticed their brand of activism which seeks to nullify consent to Heterosex in over a decade. They rant, but after the Reagan-revolution consolidated their stance the Old Boys no longer tolerate "feminists" doing any advocacy in the halls of power. The only female voices allowed are the same Family Values crusaders that the Boys have exploited as mouthpieces since the 19th century.
