In my experience, this is fairly standard for an 8y/o LG with a close family member / adult friend, the problem is that lesser beings might (and do!) take it the wrong way and get themselves into trouble, as H says, enjoy it for what it is. One of the reasons I just adore 8y/o LGS!!
