you know i've said this b4, but i do think there's a hormonal thing going on, that at least some men who are interested in children are expressing a female nurturing pattern, and a kind of alloparenting thing.

this all makes sense to me as a scientist, and it fits really well with my own experience. i don't just come to GC to talk about pretty little girls that turn me on. the sexual thing is relatively insignificant, it just becomes significant becos the reaction to it is so overblown. you don't understand this about me becos you haven't seen me singing lullabies or teaching numbers or washing a kids hair or any of that other stuff, so you don't see me as a nurturer, but i am.

i think kids react to this, and realise that in one tidy package they have their prince charming and somebody who will give them a cuddle and make them a sandwich. thats what makes it so natural.

its also a responsibility, i recognize that.
