As I said, the Libertarians are not the only game in town when it comes to civil freedoms. I don't think abandoning the poor to the "free" market is the American Way. I think the Greens and the various Marxist parties (e.g., the Socialist Labor Party) do a better job of representing the culmination of the American Dream. I encourage you to do research on them. I researched the Libertarian Party and I was disgusted by what I saw. They said nothing about civil freedoms that other parties didn't also say, but they said plenty of very cruel things in an economic sense. As a member of the working class, I will NOT support the Libertarians.
