ODue to reformers, over the past few years, they have been going more to the left then before, and because of that they are getting more popular. Pissed off liberals are going to start abandoning the party after 2008 for sure. I know many people that absolutly despise the democrats, but are only voting democrat because another 4 years under the republicans is simply unacceptable. Those type of situations can't possibly be politically sustained.

I don't know If I'd hedge my bets on the libertarians, but I will hedge my bets that some third party is going to grow with ranks of disaffected ex-democrats. I personally think that if there was some sort of combined force, like a green-libertarian front, it could become a viable third party that supports us.

Anyways, if you are interested in some engaging political theory, check out holisticpolitics.org.
