I think it's worth noting that 'activism' can be a very broad term indeed. Sometimes I get a little down, feeling that I don't do enough... but in reality, as others have said in other threads, not everyone is in the position to be an out-of-the-closet campaigner. We have different personalities and different talents, for one thing. For another, there are our different circumstances in life. But I would consider each of the following to be, in their different and relative ways, examples of promoting our cause:

~ Making positive posts about GL on GC
~ Making our case both verbally and in the way we live our lives to those friends or family members who may already be aware of our sexuality
~ Challenging prejudice based on sexual orientation (no matter what kind - be it homophobia or whatever)

Above all, I guess, simply allowing the positive influence of our girl loving to inform the way we live our lives.

"Paedophilia" is no more than a designation of a sexuality; I don't have any problem with the word, I accept it and identify as a ped. But "girl love" is, to me, an inspiring term. I don't just accept it, I embrace it: it is our term, the name we call ourselves. Exactly what it means? To me, it means that girls inspire in me the most meaningful feelings of love that I could ever feel: a romantic love which includes an erotic, emotional and spiritual passion; such that without it I'd be as good as dead. It's something that ultimately it's not possible to exhaust the definition of: there's always something more to say, something else to add. I see the image of the Girl Child as like a vision of everything that is most beautiful and sacred in this life. Don't know if that answers your question, but it's my best shot right now.
