Agreed in general, but parents often disallow some actions by their children for reasons other than the child's protection. I know mine did even though they are very liberally minded. Just a small point here though. On thw whole parents are only out to protect their children, but there are many exceptions such as religios beliefs, 'morallity', emotionally based fear (rather than logically based), etc. I do believe the child should be clearly informed about all the aspects and repercussions of the contract though.
