He's already slamming us -- he did it to mostly me and Epifora today for HOURS with no counter-argument. I thought I made some good points and came off as reasoned and calm during my last interview with him, and figure if I only do that well this time it'll be worth it. Yes, I realize that I'm sort of representing the entire CL community when I make these media appearances, but on the other hand it should be obvious that I'm essentially only speaking for myself (I'm sure some CLs think I'm too timid, and some think I'm too provocative).

As for the personal risk to myself, I told KCAL the other day that I feel relatively safe at these family events because of all the security, and even though most cops probably don't agree with me, they are sworn to protect me like any other law-abiding citizen, and it's hard for me to imagine them standing by and laughing while some antis beat me up (with hundreds if not thousands of witnesses). I think a greater threat would be some nutcase anti-pedo zealot(s) stalking me over a long period and waiting for just the right time to strike when I'm most isolated and vulnerable. I've never owned a gun, but given all the threats of death and maiming I receive on a daily basis now, I'm considering obtaining one and packing it with me everywhere. I'm also considering buying a bullet-proof vest and other armor. A guy recognized me in L.A. today while I was buying gas, but his advice was more cautionary than scornful, and he suggested I get some therapy for my LG orientation before I get into trouble.
