Yes, I know that some here would reject that out-of-hand, because they want to defend their right to say that if it's caused by birth then no one should try to change me, but why, I ask, is it justified to think that it's okay to change someone if their genetics have nothing to do with it?
There are a myriad of possible paedogenetic sources in addition to the ones you've listed; so I agree with you.
A question for the nature/nurture crowd:
"Does the fact that one is born one way release them from accountability for their own life choices?
If so, why aren't other, more obviously wrong, things justifiable by genetics?
If not, why is the nature/nurture debate relevant?"
