I share that concern with his post

That post does seem to suggest that peds are rapists or molesters, which is usually not the case. Peds are people just like anyone else - a few are good, most are indifferent, and a very few are really, really bad. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with it.

That post also seems to suggest that we are passive victims, which we do not have to be.

While it is true that we are much put upon at the moment, I certainly hope we don't fall for the whole "everyone is a victim" mindset. That would be quite deplorable. (It is doubtless true that everyone is a victim or something or someone, but many instances are inconsequential, and most people are not helpless victims in any case - and neither are we.)
