Okay, that's probably not a logically coherent hypothetical situation. I'll start again.
As a good Christian, you may be shocked to hear that I don't respect my father all that much. But one thing I do respect him for is a principled stand that he has taken, despite its not being politically fashionable. What it is is of no relevance here. But my point is that if your son grows up to be anything like me (not likely, but possible), then he will respect you most for your standing up for what you know is right, even when everyone else seems to think differently. So far, in my own life, I have been pretty feeble at standing up for my principles, but I aspire to be better at it. It is to people like you, who actually do go ahead and fight, that I look for inspiration. :) Mr. Crab |
