Do you make a habit of insulting every community/group you make yourself a part of, or are we special in that?

I've only really dipped into other communities/groups, this the only place I've spent a reasonable time with. I don't usually insult people, if I have to I try to do it nicely, but it still makes me feel sad. I realise that I've offended the sensibilities of you and others, but this wasn't intentional because the language I used (like 'predatory pedophile') meant something completely different to you than it did to me. I shall be trying to not use the P word in future.
