That equates to a high degree of self-delusion, and that is EXACTLY where the argument breaks down, because I cannot in good conscience advocate what you propose when the people who support it the most refuse to even look at the glaring problems with their position.

I've had some private conversations with a few of our hardliners, and just as your private conversations with some of the antis clued you in that they were not as bad as their public personae would seem to indicate, so too with some of our hardliners. For the most part, they have considered the problems with their position, but don't want to give an inch to those who refuse even to differentiate child lovers from child molestors.

I understand where they are coming from, even though I often do not agree with their tactics. For example, when Demosthenes referred to various Antis as "rapists", this doesn't mean he actually believed them to be rapists - it was, rather, a practical demonstration to them of what they constantly do to us. I.e., if they call pedophiles child molestors, then we should treat them the same, and call teleiophiles rapists. Occasionally, their tactics even make people think - and while I think they could be more diplomatic while still being firm, it sure beats hell out of trying to accommodate those who will not be accommodated.

In any case, I know you have not turned your back on us, whatever some others will say, and I hope to continue to see you around.
