I wonder if a lot of us don't fight as hard as we can because we think, "It'll be so long before anything changes, I won't be around to see it, or I'll be too old for it to matter." I know I've had that discouraging thought. I think a lot of us (myself included) would be a lot more motivated to fight if it looked like victory was around the corner.
